BAYSIDE, CALIFORNIA – November 6, 2025 – StreamGuys has rolled out a major update to its SGreports consumption metrics tool, which is now fully integrated with the company’s SGroyaltyreporter compliance service. The result is a streamlined workflow that gives broadcasters and content providers greater accuracy and efficiency in both audience engagement analytics and royalty reporting.
Earlier this year, StreamGuys enhanced SGreports by adding consumption metrics for rewindable audio and video streams. SGreports is already known as a powerful log processing and content analytics toolset that helps broadcasters and media companies see how audiences are engaging with streaming content. SGroyaltyreporter (SGrr for short), on the other hand, is purpose-built for clients that need rock-solid, audit-ready data for compliance submissions to organizations like SoundExchange.
Traditional playlist-based reporting has had its pitfalls — partial tune-ins often go uncounted, and automated traffic can inflate results. SGroyaltyreporter tackles these issues head-on by merging playlist logs with completed streaming session data. It also enables advanced filtering tools, such as IP and UA blacklisting, to weed out non-human traffic, and it accounts for partial tune-ins to make sure mid-song listeners are properly included. Overall, StreamGuys sees SGroyaltyreporter as a tool that ensures that clients have the peace of mind when it comes to the data they submit.
With SGroyaltyreporter now built directly into SGreports, StreamGuys customers get both a unified analytics and compliance ecosystem. SGreports already offers rich insights across listening hours, session counts, unique users, device types, and geographic data. Thanks to the integration, those same dashboards and visualizations now also extend to royalty reporting — making it easy to evaluate audience engagement and generate submission-ready reports from a single place.
“The ethos behind integrating these two technologies is that the closer we can bring together analytics and compliance, the more powerful and stress-free the reporting process becomes for our clients,” said Robert Minnix, Head of Product, StreamGuys. “The integration of SGroyaltyreporter with SGreports delivers spot-on accuracy and reduces the time and effort that’s often put in to produce compliant reports. This really gives broadcasters the confidence that their data is both actionable and ready for an audit at any time.”
